Getting to know Terminal 3
Terminal 3 is Heathrow’s original long-haul building, extensively rebuilt behind its 1960s bones, and it’s where most of the airport’s biggest international arrivals land. If you’re flying in from the US with American Airlines or Delta, from the Gulf with Emirates, from Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific, or on Virgin Atlantic or Qantas, this is almost certainly your terminal. Over 20 million passengers pass through it every year.
Because so many T3 flights are long-haul, the Arrivals Hall can be one of the busiest at Heathrow at peak times, particularly on mornings when several transatlantic and Gulf flights land within the same hour. Immigration queues here tend to run longer than at the shorter-haul terminals, which is exactly why flight tracking matters more here than almost anywhere else on the airport.
Terminal 3 shares its rail and Underground station with Terminal 2, so “Terminal 2/3 station” is a more reliable landmark to give your driver than the terminal number on its own.

What happens between landing and meeting your driver
Long-haul arrivals mean longer queues at Immigration. Here’s how we keep that from costing you anything.
Arrival & Immigration
Your flight is tracked from take-off, so a long queue at Border Force, common after several wide-body arrivals land together, doesn’t shift your driver’s pickup time unfairly.
Baggage Reclaim & Customs
Long-haul baggage can take a while to appear. There’s no charge for the wait, and no need to message us, your driver’s time adjusts automatically.
Arrivals Hall
Once you clear Customs, your Elite driver is already waiting with a name board, no searching for the taxi rank after a long flight.
Straight to the car
Your driver helps with luggage, including oversized cases common on long-haul trips, and takes you directly to your destination.
Heathrow Terminal 3 taxi vehicles

What our Terminal 3 customers say

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Elite really the cheapest taxi to Heathrow Terminal 3?
Because our fares are fixed rather than metered, we’re often the cheapest option once you factor in Terminal 3’s typically longer immigration queues, a metered fare or a surge-priced app keeps charging while you wait, ours doesn’t move. For very short local hops a metered cab can occasionally undercut a fixed fare, but you won’t know that until the meter stops, ours is guaranteed from the outset.
Where will my driver meet me at Heathrow Terminal 3?
Inside the Arrivals Hall, past Customs, holding a name board with your details.
Do you charge extra if my long-haul flight is delayed?
No. We track your flight and adjust your pickup automatically, with free waiting time built in.
Is there a difference between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 pick-up?
Yes. While both terminals share a rail station, each has its own Arrivals Hall and forecourt, so it’s worth confirming your terminal when you book. See our Heathrow Terminal 2 taxi page for T2-specific details.
Can I pay in cash?
Yes, we accept both cash and card, whichever is easier for you after a long flight.
Is a baby or child seat included?
Yes, at no additional charge when requested at booking.
How far in advance should I book my Terminal 3 taxi?
You can book right up to a few hours before your flight, but booking a day ahead guarantees your preferred vehicle type, particularly for larger long-haul luggage.
